Setup
Step 1: Click on the ‘Setup’ menu option inside Hawksoft.
Step 2: Select ‘Bridges’ or ‘Integration Setup’.
Step 3: Click on the’New’ button and select ‘IBQ’ as shown below.
Step 4: Click the ‘OK’ button.
Step 5: Be mindful of the setup at this point. Make sure your ‘Program Path’ is:
BLANK
Step 6: Be sure the ‘Path’ statement points to:
\\tsclient\C\ibq and the filename is ibq.al3
Step 7: Click the ‘OK’ button to save your changes.
Setting up your Local Workstation
Step 1: On your Desktop, Right mouseclick and choose “New/’Shortcut”
Step 2: Browse to c:\ibq\ibqrun.exe
Step 3: Name the shortcut “HawkSoft to IBQ Bridge” and click Finish
Step 4: Right mouse click the icon and choose Properties.
Step 5: In the field called Target, add ” c:\ibq\ibq.al3″ (be sure there is a space prior to the c and don’t include the quotations)
Step 6: Click ‘OK’
Export
Step 1: Open the client file and choose the policy you wish to export.
Step 2: Click on Action
Step 3: Select Internal
Step 4: Select Quote/Export
Step 5: Select IBQ, and then click OK
Step 6: Minimize the Terminal session and go to your local desktop.
Step 7: Double click on the Hawksoft to IBQ icon. Your IBQ will open and you will then have the option to export your customer by clicking done, or cancel the import.
If the customer already exists in IBQ, you may receive a pop up that advises the customer is already in the IBQ database and ask if you would like to create a new customer or use the existing. Creating a new customer will create an additional contact in IBQ.
